4 cosmetics that should only be used at night

Peelings, products with retinol, acids, and designed to lighten hyperpigmentation – these are the cosmetics that are not suitable for use during your morning skincare routine. Why? Among other things, they can irritate the skin and make it even more sensitive to UV rays. Here are cosmetics for the night!

The right skin care products are essential for keeping skin in great condition. It is crucial not only to cleanse the skin thoroughly and remove makeup, but also to moisturize and nourish it. Although many products can easily be used both in the morning and in the evening, it does not always work. There are groups of cosmetics, whose action is so strong that they are suitable only for use at night. What are they?

Face scrubs

It might seem that peeling is just like peeling – it doesn’t really matter when we do it. The only important thing is to get rid of dead skin and deeper impurities. But it turns out that this skincare step should definitely not take place during the morning routine, regardless of whether we’re talking about an enzymatic, fine or coarse-grained scrub.

Why? First of all, the skin is quite sensitive after waking up, so this type of cosmetics could irritate it unnecessarily, especially when we leave the house after a short time on a sunny day.

That’s not all, as applying colored makeup cosmetics to an inflamed face is not counted as a good idea. Not only their formula, but also the very process of application can exacerbate the erythema and cause discomfort.

Cosmetics with retinol

Retinol is vitamin A in its purest form and a real youth bomb. It perfectly deals with signs of aging or hyperpigmentation, but you have to be careful with its use. In contact with UV radiation irritates the skin, so it is recommended to use it at night.

There is no need to worry that applying once a day is not enough. Its effect is so strong that it is enough. This applies to products applied to the entire face as well as under the eyes.

Products to lighten discoloration

Discoloration is a problem that many of us have to deal with. Small spots on our face appear as a result of hormonal changes, too much sun exposure or as a residue after eczema. However, you can fight with them, using cosmetics with acids or vitamin C. Their task is to lighten these discolorations and even skin tone.

Effectiveness decreases dramatically when we apply a cream, gel or serum with depigmenting substances, and then expose our face to the sun. The effect will be just the opposite – even more discoloration will appear. Therefore, it is important to use these cosmetics at night.

Acids in lower and higher concentrations

This list would not be complete without cosmetics that are absolutely not suitable for daytime use. We are talking about formulas with different types of deep cleansing and exfoliating acids. There is a high risk that after sun exposure they will leave behind discoloration, erythema, burning sensation and even rash. We therefore use them at night, while remembering to apply sunscreen the next morning.
