What can I do to make my hair thicker and stronger?

It takes approx. 3 minutes to read this article

Healthy and thick hair is a dream of many women. However, not all of us can enjoy them, because their condition and density depend on many factors. In our article, we tell you what you should do to strengthen your hair and keep it looking healthy

Diet for Strong Hair

How you eat significantly affects the condition of your hair. A diet low in vitamins and nutrients is not conducive to the fight to strengthen hair. It is worth taking the time to balance your diet and include products rich in minerals

What exactly should you add to your diet? Oatmeal and flaxseed are products, which contain amino acids essential in the process of growth and restoration of hair and nails. Whole-grain bread, pasta, and cereals provide your body with vitamin B, which is necessary to keep hair in good condition. Also important are products rich in healthy fats, e.g. sea fish, olive oil. Vitamin E contained in them prevents hair loss, and fatty acids improve their elasticity

Avoid strong shampoos

We often think that in order to cleanse our scalp thoroughly we should use strong detergents. You would be wrong! There are many shampoos on the market that contain mild cleansing agents instead of SLS or SMS (strong detergents). These shampoos are worth using because too frequent deep cleansing of the scalp has a negative effect on hair roots and makes hair dry and brittle.

Use hair treatments

I’m sure you’ve heard of hair rubs more than once. Many brands have come up with a range of different scents and textures. These products are rich in ingredients that strengthen hair roots and promote hair growth. However, there is a secret behind it. Hair wipes are applied with the fingertips or with special scalp massaging devices. That’s the secret: Massage!

Massaging your scalp with your fingertips improves the scalp’s blood supply, which stimulates hair growth. In this vein, if you don’t want to use a scalp mask, you can start by simply massaging your scalp. Do this every day for a few minutes at a time. You’ll see the results faster than you expect!

Forget your straighteners and blow dryers

High temperatures are the enemy of thick hair. They weaken the hair, dry it out and simply destroy it. Of course, you can use protective products in the form of serums or mists, but straighteners and blow dryers are no longer your best friends. If you want thick and strong hair, try smoothing it with masks and proper styling without heat, and let it dry naturally after washing

Use silicone serums

Hot or cold weather is not good for your hair. They also do not like rubbing against items of clothing, being squeezed by rubber bands or being touched too often. Applying a serum with silicones in it creates a protective layer on the surface of the hair. This will make your hair less susceptible to mechanical damage

Have your hair checked

When something wrong happens in our body, it tries to let us know about it. Often, hair loss and deterioration of the hair condition are warning signals. For this reason, before you start your fight for strong and abundant hair, visit your doctor for a basic examination. It may turn out that the cause of your problems lies deeper than you think.
